First 5k after the Princess is....
... The Fallen Heroes 5k in Gainesville!
This race benefits the Gainesville Fisher House, which is currently being built on the grounds of the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, also in Gainesville.
When finished, the Gainesville Fisher House will be a home for recovering veterans and their families, much like Ronald McDonald House is a home for ailing children and their families. I wholeheartedly support this organization, and can't wait to run this course (especially since I already know the course, having run it back on Veteran's Day last year!)
