Once upon a time, I was a Lazy Lady. In 2011, I decided to train for a half-marathon and since then, I've done 5ks, 10ks, 15ks, a few trail runs and over ten half-marathons! I haven't lost my focus though; I'm still lazy, and I'm still frugal, so please pull up a chair and join me in my continuing endeavor to be healthy, frugal and happy!

The Oatmeal recently created
a race in Washington State called Beat the Blerch.I of course can’t go to Washington to run it,
and he offered a virtual option. I vacillated back and forth – I really want
that medal, will I feel like I earned it – before biting the bullet one day
before it was no longer an option and I signed up.
I’ve decided that I won’t put on or hang up
the medal until I’ve earned it via a physical half-marathon, so I probably
won’t earn this until January when I do the Celebration ½ Marathon.
